Israel compensated families of two Palestinian workers killed by a Kassam rocket fired by Hamas from the Gaza Strip in 2005, Channel 10 reported on Sunday evening.
The two were greenhouse workers in Ganei Tal, a former Israeli settlement in the Gush Katif settlement bloc in the south of the Gaza Strip.
After the Labor Court rejected the families' compensation lawsuit, they turned to a Defense Ministry committee that gives compensations in unusual cases that ruled in their favor.
As a result, the State of Israel paid the two families NIS 1 million and 70 thousand, according to Channel 10.
